Welcome to Bitcoin Gate. Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms") carefully before using the Platform. By accessing or using Bitcoin Gate, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Platform.

These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and Bitcoin Gate. We've written them in plain language where possible, but they carry full legal weight.

1. About Bitcoin Gate

Bitcoin Gate (bitcoingate.net, including all subdomains such as tools.bitcoingate.net) is a Bitcoin education and financial planning platform. We provide educational content, interactive tools and calculators, courses, news, and related resources (collectively, the "Services").

Bitcoin Gate is not a financial institution, broker, exchange, investment advisor, or fiduciary. We do not custody, hold, transmit, buy, sell, or exchange Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency or financial asset on your behalf.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, or engaging with any of our Services, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
  • You accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  • You consent to receive marketing communications from Bitcoin Gate as described in our Privacy Policy, with the ability to unsubscribe at any time.

3. NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE — READ THIS CAREFULLY

This is the most important section of these Terms. Please read it thoroughly.

3.1 General Disclaimer

All content, tools, calculators, courses, articles, news, commentary, projections, scenarios, and any other information provided on Bitcoin Gate is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this Platform constitutes:

  • Financial advice
  • Investment advice
  • Tax advice
  • Legal advice
  • Trading advice or signals
  • A recommendation or endorsement to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in Bitcoin or any other asset
  • A guarantee or promise of any financial outcome

3.2 Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Risk

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are highly volatile, speculative, and risky assets. By using this Platform, you acknowledge and accept the following:

  • You can lose all of your money. The value of Bitcoin can drop to zero. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Historical returns, price projections, and model outputs presented on this Platform do not predict, guarantee, or promise future performance.
  • Volatility is extreme.Bitcoin's price can fluctuate dramatically within hours, days, or weeks. Drawdowns of 50–80% or more have occurred historically and may occur again.
  • Regulatory risk is real. Governments may restrict, ban, or heavily regulate the purchase, sale, ownership, or use of Bitcoin. Regulatory changes can have sudden and severe impacts on value and accessibility.
  • Technology risk exists. Bitcoin and related technologies are subject to bugs, vulnerabilities, network attacks, protocol changes, and other technical risks that could result in loss of funds.
  • Irreversible transactions. Bitcoin transactions are generally irreversible. Sending Bitcoin to the wrong address or losing access to your private keys may result in permanent, unrecoverable loss of funds.
  • No deposit protection. Unlike bank deposits in many jurisdictions, Bitcoin holdings are typically not protected by government deposit insurance schemes (such as FSCS in the UK or FDIC in the US).
  • Tax implications. Buying, selling, trading, or otherwise disposing of Bitcoin may create tax obligations in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable tax laws.

3.3 Calculators and Projection Tools

Our calculators, DCA simulators, retirement planners, and other interactive tools are educational models only. They:

  • Use historical data, hypothetical assumptions, and simplified models that may not reflect real-world conditions.
  • Do not account for taxes, fees, inflation, regulatory changes, liquidity constraints, personal circumstances, or countless other variables that affect real financial outcomes.
  • Produce outputs that are illustrative scenarios, not predictions or guarantees.
  • Should never be used as the sole or primary basis for any financial decision.

3.4 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. Bitcoin Gate, its operators, contributors, and affiliates accept no responsibility or liability for any financial losses, damages, or adverse consequences resulting from your use of the Platform or reliance on any information provided on it.

4. Accounts

4.1 Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms, abusive behaviour, or any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

5. Marketing Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive marketing communications from Bitcoin Gate, including but not limited to:

  • Newsletters and educational content
  • Product and feature updates
  • Promotional offers
  • Information about our affiliate partners' products and services

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, adjusting your account settings, or contacting us. We respect your choice and will process opt-out requests promptly.

Transactional emails (account confirmations, security alerts, service updates) are not considered marketing and will continue regardless of your marketing preferences, as they are necessary for the operation of your account.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on the Platform — including text, graphics, logos, images, illustrations, SVGs, course materials, calculator logic, code, design elements, and the overall look and feel — is owned by or licensed to Bitcoin Gate and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the Platform without our prior written permission.

6.2 Limited Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

6.3 User Content

If you submit any content to the Platform (comments, feedback, suggestions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with the Platform.

7. Affiliate Links and Third-Party Services

7.1 Affiliate Partnerships

Bitcoin Gate participates in affiliate programmes. Some links on the Platform are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you sign up for or purchase a product or service through those links. This is at no additional cost to you.

Our affiliate partnerships include, but are not limited to, cryptocurrency exchanges, hardware wallet providers, and related services. The presence of an affiliate link does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of any third-party product or service.

7.2 Third-Party Services

When you click an affiliate link or interact with a third-party service, you leave Bitcoin Gate and become subject to that third party's terms, policies, and practices. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, security, or conduct of any third-party website or service.

You use third-party services entirely at your own risk. We are not responsible for any losses, damages, or issues arising from your use of third-party products or services, including but not limited to cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, or financial services.

8. Points and Rewards Programme

Bitcoin Gate may offer a points or rewards programme. Points have no monetary value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, Bitcoin, or any other asset. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the programme at any time, and to adjust point balances or expiration rules at our discretion.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other accounts, or related systems.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content or data from the Platform without our written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation, servers, or networks.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use the Platform to distribute malware, spam, or other harmful content.
  • Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Platform content without authorisation.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any content, tools, calculators, or information on the Platform.
  • Warranties that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

No information on this Platform — regardless of how it is presented or how confident it may appear — should be construed as a professional recommendation, guarantee, or promise of any outcome.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BITCOIN GATE, ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
  • Financial losses resulting from investment decisions, Bitcoin transactions, or reliance on any information, tool output, projection, or content provided on the Platform.
  • Damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
  • Damages arising from your use of third-party services accessed through the Platform.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Where liability cannot be fully excluded by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Bitcoin Gate (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or £100 (one hundred pounds sterling), whichever is less.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bitcoin Gate, its operators, affiliates, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your use of the Platform.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any financial decisions you make based on information obtained from the Platform.
  • Any content you submit to the Platform.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally before initiating legal proceedings.

14. Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using the Platform and, if applicable, delete your account.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bitcoin Gate regarding your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
